The Revolution Lies Within

My inspiration for this work of art came from the famous quote "The revolution that takes place in your head, nobody will ever see that." by jazz poet, musician, author and spoken word performer Gil Scott-Heron (1970’s). This quote emphasizes the personal and transformative nature of change. It highlights that true revolution begins within an individual's mindset, a shift that is not observable externally - Because this revolution - Our revolution, was never just a protest in the street. - It was the fire lit when we dared to know ourselves.
