"FREE MIND" - Gifted Unlimited

My intention with this artwork was to create a central black male character who radiates with the power of a free mind, boundless and unshackled by fear or doubt. He's discovered the infinite within himself and understands the gifts he holds within are not just for him—they are his offering to the world.

I introduced the red hibiscus flower on his chest symbolizing his passion for life, love and creativity. Historically, the hibiscus is considered a muse for artists and poets. It is often given to both men and women as a token of high regard.

The green lenses of his sunglasses represent his “evergreen” outlook on life; Always fresh, never faded….only focused and never jaded.

The birds flying in the background symbolize the spirit and power of the unrestrained mind to soar and self actualize our highest goals and the reality we want to create for ourselves - forever Gifted Unlimited.
